30/10/2017 South Korea and Finland

Today, we haven seen a video about students in South Korea and Finland. And now, we have to answer the following question; South Korea and Finland: Two nations that have completely opposite approaches whose students consistently rank on top of the world. How is that possible? In South Korea students spend many hours at school. Parents in South Korea care a lot about their children success. For example children get up very early, do physical exercise and have a very healthy breakfast, because parents think a healthy life helps children in their stududies. In addition, children go to extra lessons after school and parents spend a lot of money, so children think they have the responsability of studying hard. In Finland students spend less time in school but there, teaching is a very respected profession, there are great teachers. 23/10/2017 Differences about new and traditional history.

Today, we have done a debate with all the class. We have putted in common the 6 differences that last days, we prepared in pairs and these are: -           The new history is concerned with every human activity while traditional one is essentially concerned with politics and it included the history of the Church as an institution and war. -           Traditional historians think of history as essentially a narrative of events, while the new history is more concerned with the analysis of structures. -           Traditional history offers a view from above, in the sense that it has always concentrated on what great men, statesmen, generals, or churchmen said and did. 20/10/2017 New and traditional history.

Today, we have being working on the New and the Traditional history. I have worked with my class mate Nacho and we have putted in common the differences that we remove from the text last monday. Next day we will do a debate with all the class about the differences between the New and the Traditional history so we have been preparing the debate.

Today we have continued looking for information for our work but today we have done the context and background.

09/10/2017 New history

Today, we have done a team work. The teacher, has given us some papers about Overture: the New History, its Past and Future  and in pairs, we have looked at the differences between the new history, and the traditional one. Now I'm going to point some of these differences: Traditional history:   - F ocuses on political aspects of history -Tells the facts - F ocuses on the people who participated in the events - Uses only written documents   - It is intended to verify the events.   - The historian presents the events without comment  New history: - Analyzes the events    - Takes into account how people lived the events     - Everything can be taken as a source of information : videos, photos and so on   - Raises a problem and go beyond    - The narrator presents what happened
