Today, we have done a team work. The teacher, has given us some papers about Overture: the New History, its Past and Future and in pairs, we have looked at the differences between the new history, and the traditional one. Now I'm going to point some of these differences:


Traditional history:

  - Focuses on political aspects of history

-Tells the facts

- Focuses on the people who participated in the events

- Uses only written documents

  - It is intended to verify the events.

  - The historian presents the events without comment 

New history:

- Analyzes the events

   - Takes into account how people lived the events 

   - Everything can be taken as a source of information : videos, photos and so on

  - Raises a problem and go beyond 

  - The narrator presents what happened
